As an African American female daily washing of my hair in a arid location (CO) was a "no, no" because it further exacerbated my hair being brittle, hard, dry and dull. Now I'm free to wash my hair daily (using the Avalon companion conditioner product for this shampoo) vice weekly and maintain soft hair that is elastic. I do follow up my post use of this product with the Avalon Deep Conditioner companion product, a leave-in conditioner (also a Avalon product) and a dap of Blue Magic Bergamot Hair and Scalp Conditioner. I wear my hair natural (free of dye, relaxer, texturizer, etc) so this regime leaves my tight coils shiny, soft and fabulous.
