This is the first review I have ever ever written…but I had to with this shampoo.I recently moved from a house with a water softener, to an apartment with EXTREMELY hard water. My first several washes at my apartment made my hair feel absolutely awful. I have been on the olaplex train for several months—but idk If it was the combo of the formula + hard water, or just the hard water overall. But I had such a thick film over my hair and I couldn’t even run my fingers through it. It felt and looked gross!I saw that this shampoo was specific to those with hard water and/or build up (and have heard good things of the brand) and ordered right away.Guys…one wash, (I shampoo twice) and my hair is back to how it was with soft water!!! Shiny, smooth, and no build up when I run my fingers through.Buy it!*disclaimer/add on: to help with my hard water, I also bought a new filtered shower head. HOWEVER, even when the shower head, when I first washed my hair with my normal olaplex, the result was still the same. But one wash with this shampoo + a new shower head?! YES.I'm on my 10th bottle of this. Yes, it's expensive, but totally worth it. A bottle lasts a long time. This shampoo smells absolutely amazing and gets your hair REAL clean. I now wash 1-2 times per week, adding in Living Proof's dry shampoo at the roots on the 3rd + day (which is an amazing dry shampoo, although I've used Moroccan Oil's dry shampoo as well, and it works great and smells amazing too.) You have to follow with a really nourishing conditioner/mask (I use it's a 10 mask)I get complaints ALLthe time about how many hair looks and smells after using this shampoo and the moisturizing Moroccan Oil shampoo! I use to have a hard time keeping my hair from looking greasy and unclean. While battling static in the winter time. This shampoo is worth the each cost. This was recommended by my hair stylist and it didn’t disappoint. Only need to use it a couple of times a month!I combed out my locs because of build up and lint. I used products to heavy for my hair type. (Fine, low porosity, & kinky) it eventually caught up with me. I washed my hair multiple times and even did a clay mask and it didn’t rid my hair of all of the build up. This beauty here got rid of all build up with two washes. My hair did feel stripped initially until I dried it and it actually felt soft. I am extremely satisfied. Kinky curly approved !??I splurged on this for myself. It’s been a while since I used a clarifying shampoo and I desperately needed a reset wash.Since it’s been so long since I clarified last (I normally use a clarifying shampoo once a month) I did a double wash and followed up with a moisturizing conditioner (Maui Moisture Hydrate & Heal). Since I plan on doing an olaplex treatment tomorrow I only added some leave in conditioner (Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Multi-Action Leave-In) and let it air dry. While my curls are a little frizzy from the lack of products that I normally add, my hair is still so soft and light feeling. I know clarifying shampoos usually need to be followed up with some deep conditioning but I’m shocked at how nice my hair is after the first wash. The scent is light and clean. It’s not a scent profile that I particularly love but it’s very pleasant. The amount you get for the price is meh, but I also understand you’re paying for a high end product and since you only need to clarify once every few weeks this should last me a long time!My wife said: Moroccanoil products were previously only available in salons. Their hairsprays, shampoos, conditioners are my preference because of the consistent results, very faint scents, and the healthy focus of the ingredients. I have visited a professional salon for the last time after yet again a pathetic foiling disaster and pitiful cut. So, with a blonde lob full of foil bleeds and tiger stripes, I decided to do a ton of research and see what my options were. Clarifying shampoo turns out to be critical not only for healthy hair, but helping highlighting/coloring last longer, and immediately lessens color disasters. The most important thing is that clarifying shampooing is only to be done ONCE a month on average. AND, to immediately use an excellent conditioner after use. I noticed some reviews complained of shedding, drying, etc., and these are the exact reasons clarifying shampoos state they’re not for weekly use. With incredible products like this clarifier, no need to make a salon appointment. Home coloring and highlighting today is equal to any salon, particularly L’Oreal Paris excellence creme, and so easy! No more $200.00 outlay every 8 weeks, now I just buy the best products available, and this is definitely one of them! YouTube is a goldmine of how to’s and comparisons!I always use this shampoo! Smells amazing and makes my hair super soft and clean.I love and use all of the morrocan oil products, and this ones no exception. This shampoos great for getting rid of built up residue caused by hair care products. I personally love it for giving my a hair a real deep clean. Leaves hair squeaky clean, soft and shiny. This is great, I use it maybe weekly to wash all the residue of shampoo, conditioner and lacquer from my hair, leaves it feeling really clean and bouncy.Good item and it smells niceI think it is good quality. I like that is paraben free. This may not be the best clarifying shampoo for a person with very oily hair, but it does the job. It needs to be used more often. Therefore, my hair became more shiny and soft.
