I've never actually tried the It's a 10 shampoo, so I have nothing to compare this to, but I do really love this shampoo. I have coarse, dry, damaged hair that craves moisture and needs a gentle non stripping shampoo. This is it.It contains sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate, which is one of my favorite gentle surfactants due to it's ability to remove product buildup (especially when left on the hair for a couple minutes) without stripping the hair. I only have to clarify once a month with this shampoo. The formula is fantastic and leaves my hair soft. The smell is very pleasant and not too strong. It doesn't weigh me down. It doesn't irritate my scalp. All around recommend.
